Schorfheide Game Park
White breed of the now extinct dark aurochs (no albino!). Very rare, at present about 20 animals in Germany. Domesticated as totem animal by the Celts about 2,000 years ago. Oldest domestic breed of cattle. Extremely sturdy and primitive cattle. Herds can be kept in the open all the year round. Red List of Threatened Species.
